COMMUNICATION FOR DEVELOPMENT
Young voices, community media and advocacy to transform realities
We strengthen communication skills in adolescents, young people and communities to promote their active participation in society. Through training processes, such as virtual leadership schools and school journalist programs, we promote the development of critical thinking, expression and advocacy in public spaces. We promote the creation of our own content that reflects their realities, opinions and proposals.
Likewise, we promote networks of leaders, community media and dialogue spaces that strengthen citizen participation and impact on public policies. Through audiovisual productions, digital forums and campaigns, we make social and environmental problems visible. We also promote cultural exchange between communities, contributing to the preservation of knowledge and the strengthening of the social fabric.
Communication becomes a leadership tool when adolescents and young people create content, dialogue and position their proposals in public spaces.

Project 01
Virtual Leadership School
Virtual and asynchronous process to strengthen leadership, critical thinking and citizen participation.
The Virtual Leadership School is a training process aimed at young people who have completed secondary education and who have a vocation for service, social commitment and a transformative vision of their territories. This space seeks to strengthen their leadership, critical thinking and citizen participation capacities, promoting their active involvement in building solutions for their communities.
Through a flexible and asynchronous methodology, the program incorporates innovative pedagogical approaches adapted to virtuality, integrating digital tools. Participants are encouraged to become agents of change, capable of effectively influencing spaces for local, regional and community consultation, providing proposals from an inclusive, intercultural and participatory perspective.
Project 02
Training of school journalists
Adolescents who communicate, analyze situations and construct content with a rights-based approach and gender.
This program trains adolescents as school journalists, promoting them to be protagonists in the production and dissemination of content that reflects their realities, opinions and proposals. Through radio spaces, especially in the Sonqoykipi T’ikarisunchis program, and other spaces for citizen participation, students make social problems visible and propose alternatives to build more egalitarian, inclusive and gender-focused educational institutions and communities.
During the training process, participants acquire technical skills in speaking, production, writing and conducting radio programs and audiovisual content. Likewise, in coordination with teachers in the area of communication, they participate in spaces for analyzing the sociopolitical situation of the country, also recovering the historical memory and experiences of resilience of their communities, with special emphasis on the life stories of women.
Project 03
YANAPANAKUSUN Network
Virtual space for youth protagonism, regional exchange and the construction of collective statements.
The YANAPANAKUSUN Network is a virtual meeting and exchange space where girls, boys, adolescents and young people (NNAJ) from regions such as Cusco, Lima, Puno and Ucayali share their perceptions, experiences and community realities. Through these meetings, they discuss social, cultural and environmental problems, as well as their customs and traditions, promoting the recognition and appreciation of diversity.
This space is designed for youth protagonism, where participants express themselves freely without direct intervention from adults. As a result of each meeting, they prepare collective statements on the topics addressed, strengthening their voice and ability to influence. Likewise, the digital newsletter Kusi Kawsay is produced, which collects their reflections and is disseminated through institutional platforms, expanding the scope of its proposals.
Project 04
Socio-educational micro reports
Audiovisual production made by adolescents and young people to tell their territories from their own perspective.
Production of micro socio-educational reports that address social and environmental issues from the perspective of adolescents and young people, who assume the role of protagonists in the entire creation process. These contents are developed from training support that strengthens their communication, investigative and creative skills.
The process promotes the exchange of knowledge between school journalists and environmental defenders, integrating different perspectives for the construction of critical and purposeful content. The final products—such as reports and short documentaries—are disseminated through various digital platforms, contributing to making visible the problems of their territories and raising awareness among the community in general.
