New roof, secure future in Perccajata
The renovation of the roof of the initial educational institution No. 998, in the community of Perccajata (Omacha district), marked a before and after in the learning conditions of girls and boys.
Today, the classroom has a safe space, protected from the rain and cold characteristic of the area, which which has promoted regular attendance, well-being and a better willingness to learn for its 14 students.
This achievement was possible thanks to the joint work between the community and a group of volunteers from Italy, who lived together for several weeks in the area. Together with mothers, fathers and local authorities, they carried out the work in an articulated manner, demonstrating that solidarity collaboration can generate real and sustainable changes.

The impact is not only reflected in the improvement of infrastructure. Families now perceive the institution as a more dignified and reliable space, which has strengthened the appreciation of initial education and has motivated greater participation in school life. Likewise, this process has reinforced community organization, the sense of co-responsibility and the commitment to the care and maintenance of the educational space.
