The Kusi Kawsay Bulletin, “happy life,” is an educational contribution from the Yanapanakusun Network, which is made up of girls, boys and adolescents from the regions of Cusco, Pucallpa, Lima, Puno and Cajamarca. In Kusi Kawsay you will find information about: How is our context? How would we like it to be? What can we do to improve our environment?
Kusi Kawsay is published biweekly with the aim of raising awareness and taking action in the face of critical social situations that occur in our country, we place special emphasis on environmental issues, human rights and all types of violence.
You are invited to send us information about investigations and actions that you carry out in your community, we will include them in the next newsletter.
Environmental education guide: I defend my planet and my environmental rights
This guide seeks to provide qualified and systematized information for primary and secondary students, in such a way that it inspires them to integrate into the environmental transformation of their territory. It consists of 6 sessions, each one is divided into two parts, one theoretical and one practical. Additionally, necessary materials and digital tools are presented in the final part of the document.
La Radio Escolar: Participatory tool to prevent human trafficking in educational institutions and the community
This guide includes pedagogical and didactic resources aimed at teachers and professionals in the field of secondary education. The purpose is to strengthen, through School Radio, the socio-emotional and communication skills of students, and in this way contribute to the prevention of human trafficking and other types of violence.
Kuska: Unity for action. Guide for preventive work on human trafficking with adolescents in educational contexts
This text is a guide for carrying out preventive activities against human trafficking. We believe that by developing expression and resilience in adolescents, through learning and relearning “cultural” codes and languages, we will be able to understand the mental and social representations they have about their present and future. This guide provides dynamics and tools that will help the teacher to promote the individual subjective growth of adolescents and the construction of bonds and networks of solidarity.
Radio microprograms for the prevention of human trafficking from educational institutions
The radio programs that you have in your hands are the result of the work carried out within the framework of the Childhood and Adolescence project, Free and Safe, promoted and developed in Cusco by the Yanapanakusun Center. These radio programs simply present topics, recognized by students, as those that, in some way, emphasize their vulnerability to human trafficking.
ICORural A community intervention as a response to human trafficking in rural communities
This document includes the contributions of mothers, fathers, adolescents, teachers and community authorities who contributed to the collective construction of community intervention routes that respond to its socioeconomic and political context and that, above all, make visible the role that citizens have in the prevention of human trafficking. This commitment does not intend to take away the role of the State, on the contrary, it seeks to strengthen primary prevention as the key moment to develop mechanisms that strengthen the capacities of adolescents to avoid human trafficking.
Risk Factors that make adolescents potential victims of human trafficking: Strategies to prevent this crime
This document seeks to make visible the factors that make adolescents more vulnerable to human trafficking and other types of violence. It also reveals trafficking as a problem that also occurs in provinces, districts and rural population centers where there is a large population in vulnerability and risk, and where there is little presence of the State, given that the legal, judicial and different ministry departments are mainly located in the provincial capitals.

Community training program
GDA Training Strengthening our community capacities for the prevention of trafficking
This training program, developed with community leaders, seeks to train the population in prevention of human trafficking with a community focus. The material describes the activities and methodology that must be used to achieve effective learning. Below, you can download the instructions and dynamics that accompany each of the five sessions.
Yanapanakusun promotes a program that seeks to encourage the habit of reading.
Warmikunaq Puriynin: The Walk of Women is a work that is born from the heart and imagination of our boys and girls, who, through their words, have woven a beautiful tapestry of stories that exalt the figure of women. This book compiles stories written by children and adolescents from our region of Cusco, especially from the provinces of La Convencion, Paucartambo, Paruro and Quispicanchis, as well as the regions of Lima, Puno and Ucayali. Each of these stories addresses the role of women with a focus on preventing violence and promoting gender equality, essential values to build a just society free of discrimination. In each of these stories, we find reflected the courage, wisdom and importance of women in our communities. They are stories that move us, inspire us and remind us of the fundamental role they play in society. The voices of these young authors, full of sensitivity and creativity, show us that the future of our city and our communities is in good hands. Their stories are an example of the power of narrative to raise awareness and foster respect.
The book Pachamamaq Wawakuna, a literary work that blooms from the imagination and hearts of the boys and girls of Omacha. In their pages, these young authors give us stories, legends and songs full of magic and wisdom, which transport us to a world where nature and culture intertwine. Through these stories, passed down from generation to generation, they invite us to reflect on essential topics such as the value of water, food, the cultivation of the land and the protection of our land. The voices of these boys and girls remind us of the close and deep relationship that exists between humans and nature, and inspire us to take care of our common home. Their stories are a living testimony of the cultural wealth of our province and represent an invaluable legacy for future generations, a reminder that these values are fundamental to building a more just and equitable society.
In 2022, Paqarichisqanchis was published with 34 stories written by girls, boys and adolescents from Cajamarca, Cusco, Lima and Puno. Each story is accompanied by drawings prepared by the participants, as well as a teaching sheet for teachers to promote reflection in the classroom.
In 2023, Irqikuna Rimanku was published with 37 stories written by girls, boys and adolescents from Cajamarca, Cusco, Lima, Puno and Ucayali with themes linked to family, environmental protection and myths and legends of the people. Like the previous year, each story is accompanied by a teaching sheet for teaching use.
This book brings together stories written by girls, boys and adolescents from different regions of Peru, who share their experiences around migration, dreams and hope. Through their stories, they express their emotions, memories and learnings, showing the strength of their roots and their capacity for resilience. “Ñanpi kawsaykuna”—lives on the road—invites us to listen to and value their voices, recognizing that each story reflects not only challenges, but also opportunities, identity and the desire for a better future.
ROULETTE for the prevention of human trafficking
Roulette allows girls, boys and adolescents to learn about the problem of human trafficking through a board game that can be used in the classroom or at public fairs.
KALLPACHANAKUSUN to end human trafficking
Kallpachanakusun has the same objective as Roulette, to teach girls, boys, adolescents and the general population to prevent and fight against human trafficking.
School Radio Participative tool to prevent trafficking in persons in schools and community
